What we collect
When you sign in or start a trial: your email address, and, if you give them, your company, the plan you chose and the vendors you want followed. If you connect Slack, the address you give us for delivering alerts. If you create an API key, its name and when it was used. We also keep the page that referred you and any campaign tag in the link you followed. That is all we collect about you.
Payments
If you buy a plan or a record, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your card and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive confirmation of the payment and what it was for, never the card number.
Cookies and analytics
We set one cookie, when you sign in, to keep you signed in for up to 30 days. Our own page analytics set no cookie and store no IP address: we record which page was viewed and which button was clicked. There are no third-party trackers or advertising scripts.
Sign-in links, invitations, alerts, trial reminders and the weekly summary are sent by our email provider on our behalf. You can turn the weekly summary off from your set's page. We do not send newsletters, and we do not sell or share your address.
Service logs
Our servers write operational logs to a log service so we can keep PriceTape running. They record requests and errors, not who you are, and they are kept for a short period.
Keeping and deleting
We keep your details so we can run your account, or, if you asked for a trial, so we can tell you when it is available. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires. To see or delete what we hold about you at any time, email hello@pricetape.co and we will do it.
